The Eclipse
The Eclipse Didn’t they just broadcasting it on the radio? I heard every word, clear and loud, but can it truly be? Isn’t it supposed to happen tomorrow? Tomorrow, as the midday bell rings? Am I right? Again, I know nothing. Yasin’s right, I am a failure, an useless idiot. No better than Wulff. Indeed, he was the right president. No one has ever represented the Germans better. Oh dear, what am I thinking? No one has ever represented us more fittingly.

Birds in Flight
“In order to see birds it is necessary to become a part of the silence.” - Robert Lynd The days are getting longer again; the temperatures are rising to a pleasant level and we are spending more time outside. Every morning, the songs of birds wake us up; bees are buzzing around and even the first ladybirds have already appeared. The nature is awakening to new life and is just waiting to be discovered by us again. And, of course, we photographers looking forward to capture great shots.

The Unknown Celebrity
“Any man who acts singly in the press of a mob will get trampled. Shifting into reverse while making love can kill you.” He lived in a small overheated attic apartment in Curepipe from where he started with direction Port Louis, capital of the Republic of Mauritius, every morning. He spent the day at the national hotel where he produced most of his art. After a Mauritian Curry, which he normally ate with rice, he used to wander through the surrounding, often he ended up at the Central Market, his favorite place, where he got inspired by the hustle and bustle. Sometimes he got chauffeured around the island, after he never had the desire to take place behind the steering wheel. In the early evening he returned to Curepipe where he had dinner at the Vatel Hotel and occasionally worked a little bit before he went back home.

Backyard Beauties
“The local wildlife allows us to develop a deeper understanding of the ecosystem that exists right outside our doors” As so many others of my generation, especially after reading the adventures of Rüdiger Nehberg, I dreamed of going on a big safari in Africa. I wanted to explore the vast landscape, discover the urban culture and encounter the wildlife. In short, I wanted to experience a real adventure.

Vulnerable
One of my friends asked me those questions and told me before, it should be easy to answer each of them for me and yet, I had a hard time to get an answer. He also answered them for me before, wrote his answers down and the shocking outcome, he was right almost all the time. Just the first answer he had partly wrong. Everyone who has just a friend in his life will be rich!

Gear Up!
“It is with great pleasure and a heart brimming with anticipation that I announce my return to the world of photography.” The moment I decided, I want to write about my travel adventures; I wanted to write about photography, too. After more than a decade in this business, I gathered quite the experience, and it gives me some pleasure to share it with people.
