Moving Tips
So I know we have all been there. Pulling our hair out trying to schedule movers, watching the movers pack your personal belongings, waiting what seems like FOREVER to get your household goods, come to find out when they get there things got damaged and/or lost and they can't be replaced til months down the road cause claims is taking forever? Yeah, I feel you. I just made a huge move from the US to Germany. This was our first PCS ever with the army. When we moved to our first duty station, I moved us out there. I moved all of our stuff. It was way less complicated than going through the army. Granted, I get it, you have three kids and no way do you feel like packing their toys and clothes. In that case, the army is a helping hand. But for the few who are new to PCSing or are even veterans and think they know everything, I've come up with a few helpful tips to make life so much easier.

Reconnecting With Your Spouse
We all know that marriage can take a lot of time and effort and sometimes it isn't always the most fun ride. Some people have tried marriage books and seminars but who actually has time to do all these things and still remain happy? At the end of a long and busy day whether you work a full-time job or you have been home all day with screaming kids and dogs that don't listen, you want to be happy. For a marriage to be happy I feel you should use these methods to reconnect with your spouse and show them that you truly care and want to be happy with them.

Leaving the Nest
I love the question, "How are you surviving without your mom?" Or this one, "I would never survive without my mom, she does everything for me." I love the questions and statements solely because I have answers to them. To answer the question, "How are you surviving without your mom," is simple. I don't but in a way I am. Yes, I am married and living over 1,000 miles away in a different state. So you ask, how can you say you aren't surviving without your mom? I call my mom everyday. In this day and age, technology has given us the power to be able to speak to our loved ones with ease on a daily basis. If I ever have a question about finances, food, cleaning supplies, even relationship advice I know my mom is always a text or phone call away. So I do survive on my own but I will always need my momma.

Spice for the Right Price
How many times have you looked at a recipe online or even in a cookbook and thought, "I would really like to make this but I don't want to spend a lot on ingredients, I wonder how much they are?" This article will show you a recipe that is one of my favorites at home plus I will also list the price of the ingredients that you can find at your local Walmart.

Military Wife LifeTop Story - January 2018
The morning of my husband's deployment wasn't like any other morning. The house was filled with sadness as we prepared for that night where we would say see you later and give our last kiss for nine months. As the time approached, our emotions only grew stronger. My husband, being the strong gentleman he is, showed no sadness and shed no tears cause he knew he would see me again sometime soon. I, on the other hand, was a mess. At the age of 19, I had no idea I would be married to a soldier and preparing to face my first deployment. I had no idea what was in store for the next nine months. Fear raced over my body as my husband left my arms to go to the buses. Tears streamed down my face as I watched him wave goodbye and blow me a kiss. I watched the buses roll away and my friend and I hugged each other and walked to our cars.
