Do you have a hard time getting your toddler to eat anything besides goldfish, fruit snacks and yogurt? If you answered yes, these recipes will be your savior.

No-Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Chia Bars

First, we will start with no-bake chocolate peanut butter chia bars (can be made into whatever shape you desire). Chia seeds have many great benefits, even for toddlers! This recipe will surely be a hit with the littles who love sweets! No-bake chocolate peanut butter chia bars are an easy recipe for healthy snacking! These bars are vegan and sweetened naturally.

Ingredients-

  • 1 cup pitted whole dates (about 12-13)
  • 1/4 cup plus 1 tbsp peanut butter, creamy or cruchy, whichever you prefer
  • 1/4 cup peanuts
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 tbsp chia seeds

Instructions-

Add all ingredients to food processor and process until the ingredients become a mostly cohesive mixture. You will still have little pieces of peanuts remaining which is okay! The consistency of the mixture should hold together when you press it together.

Line a rimmed dish with parchment paper and press mixture into it, leaving your desired thickness.

Refrigerate for at least 50 minutes before slicing. Slice in whichever shape you prefer. Store bars in the refrigerator when you aren't eating them!

Cheesy Carrot Shapes

Next up is a high protein veggie snack! Cheesy carrot shapes. There are only 4 ingredients in this recipe, but the flavor packs a punch your babies are sure to love.

Ingredients-

  • 200 g grated carrots (around 1 1/2 packed cups)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 70 g grated cheddar cheese (1/2 cup)
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 tbsp oat flour

Instructions-

Pre heat oven to 350F.

Mixed the carrot and water in a bowl, cover and microwave on high for three mins.

Drain the carrots and then place them on a clean cloth or absorbent paper and squeeze out the liquid (You need to get the carrots pretty dry).

Put the carrots back in the bowl and mix with the remaining ingredients.

Prepare a baking tray with parchment paper or use a silicon baking sheet.

Form shapes of the mixture onto the sheet using a cookie cutter or just your hands.

Bake for approx. 13 mins (until crispy on the sides), and your cheesy carrot shapes are ready to be enjoyed!

Homemade Healthy Fruit Snacks

Last but surely not least, we have homemade healthy fruit snacks! One of my daughters favorite snacks is fruit snacks so I decided to whip up a healthier alternative, she can't even tell!

Ingredients-

  • ⅔ cup fresh lemon juice or fresh orange juice (if you don't like sour go with orange).
  • ⅔ cup frozen or fresh berries (make with whichever berries your prefer, we like strawberries, raspberries or blueberries)
  • 1 - 2 Tbs honey
  • 5 Tbs gelatin (from grass fed cows)
Instructions-

Pour juice and berries into a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally until berries become tender and begin to get soft.

Add honey and stir until the honey is completely incorporated. You will want the fruit to dissolve quite a bit until you have a compote.

Turn the heat off, and quickly whisk in gelatin, only one tablespoon at a time. Whisk vigorously until completely incorporated, mixing the gelatin in very gradually to avoid pesky lumps.

Puree mixture using an immersion blender or small blender (a magic bullet or baby bullet works great for this! Just be sure to cool slightly before moving over).

Pour into a 8 x 8 or 9 x 9 dish. Refrigerate until set (30 minutes to an hour). Cut into small squares. (You could also use some cute molds to create awesome shapes).

And that's it! Super simple, easy and healthy recipes for your toddlers! But honestly, your whole family will probably dig in! I hope you enjoyed this read and try out these great snack recipes!
