Truth: Your Chicken Isn't Juicy

How To Tell When Your Chicken Is Not as Delicious as You Think...One Scenario

JUICY DOES IT.

Have you actually tried your chicken? Have you ever actually had chicken that felt like rubber (excessive chewing, could even use a sauce...)? Don't lie to yourself. That chicken was DRY AF at your aunt's last week...but you ate it out of desperation/gratefulness/being high and not knowing any better/lack of trying OPC (other people's chicken). The alternative is to toss it, and be honest with yourself/others (and others who may suffer from eating your/their chicken but do not wish to tell you the truth in lieu of your/their "feelings"). Then, after testing a few methods from the top google searches...you may end up having the best chicken of your god damn life.

You may find yourself as a first timer cooking chicken without the help of the internet or a "grandmama" nearby. Whatever the case/situation may be, if you don't try, your chicken standards will remain forever "nice and dry."

Common Scenario:

Sets plate of chicken in front of you. "Oh thank you, I'm starving."

Family member/Wife/Husband/Friend/Friend's parents: "Enjoy, I cooked it...(goes on and on as to how much effort they put into cooking the main entree)."

"It smells amazing (goes on to take a bite...)!"

Family member/Wife/Husband/Friend/Friend's parents: "Thank you! There's more if you aren't full." (They begin to eat and have small talk with others, taking some of the focus off of you.)

This is the moment when you realize your tongue is still tonguing your piece of now chewed on "jerky-like" chicken. *You played yourself (quoted from *DJ Khaled).

You are now committed in this situation to either continue eating the food, or tell the truth to the once believed nice person for feeding you...so tell the truth! You may get kicked out of the family for being honest, but hey, in a day or so, they will feel bad about getting upset over chicken...so there you have it!

But seriously, there is a simple method to cooking even BASIC CHICKEN BREASTS on the stove. By adding water, little by little, and covering the seasoned breasts can easily add some "juice" to your mouth. Just look up "moist" chicken recipes on google. The wise have spoken there, "a many recipes."

Let's talk BONES. Leaving bones in the chicken creates a savory, authentic flavor. It also helps retain moisture.

Now, if you've gone vegan, I understand. But some of those out there are still eating chicken. And they aren't liking it. They're just getting by on horribly, dry, flavorless chicken. For those of you still eating it, stop and think-is this my best life? If you have to even ask that question, chances are you aren't. The packaged chicken you buy at grocery stores isn't necessarily the best. IF the chicken is whole, more power to ya, in regards to having the bones and all. IF you are eating a whole chicken, look at the size of those things! The "footprint" on how it was raised/grown has changed immensely. Do you even know what your chicken is "raised" by? I don't necessarily care if it was having a great life, if it was raised in the daylight with room to socialize. No, I care more so if it was fed a speedy diet of supplementary food that helped it grow quicker and bigger. Now that-THAT is what I'm more so worried about. In other countries outside of the Americas, I've had wonderful, tasty chicken. The type of chicken that is a "regular" size. Chopped and ready for the de-feathering, raised by a normal diet that is not streamlined off some drip system. This is another story, but in regards to that—if you are willing to eat chicken raised in the Americas, PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF WHATEVER YOU WORSHIP, cook it right!

Stop people who are overcooking chicken when it starts. ACT NOW—or never. But believe that once you have had amazing juicy, mouthwatering, crispy/golden chicken, you will want the rest of the people who make it to deliver the same results.

Good luck eaters/now-graduated-truth-tellers.
