Ingredients:

  1. White bloomer loaf
  2. Cheddar Cheese
  3. One Beef Tomato

  1. Slice the bread and pre toast it in the pan, to ensure it is already crispy before you add the cheese and tomato filling. Frying the bread in butter or margarine is best if you want the super crispy outside.
  2. Slice the tomatoes and to avoid them making the toastie soggy, blot them with kitchen roll before adding them to the sandwich.
  3. Take one slice of bread out of the pan and grate the cheese onto the remaining slice. Make sure to cover the bread evenly.
  4. Place the tomato slices on top of the cheese and then place the other slice of bread on top.
  5. Cook for 10 minutes on a low heat, allowing time for the cheese to melt and crisp up. Turn the toastie every now and again to ensure the bread doesn't burn.
  6. When the cheese is melted and the bread is browned, take out of the pan, cut the toastie in half and serve.
