Have you ever had one of those nights where you are just too exhausted to take a long time making very big meals? Here are a few quick meals that will set your taste buds in motion. The first meal is a mixture with black beans, green beans, and black-eyed peas. A can of each thoroughly rinsed poured into one Medium sized or larger pan. Add a little butter or substitute for butter, just enough to absorb into the ingredients. Add soul food seasoning along with cumin. About a half of a teaspoon for the soul food seasoning and a pinch of cumin.

Top that with some thyme, pepper and salt. A half teaspoon of each or less. Next add the garlic seasoning and garlic pepper. Just a few pinches of each. Let the product cook while stirring until it starts to simmer. Stir up some more and taste to see if it is to your liking then add more if needed. Let the ingredients cook while continuing to stir until it is really between a hard simmer and a boiling point.

Turn heat off and let sit while getting other ingredients ready. Chop up a full small tomato into a little bowl. Warm up some corn flour tortillas or your option of tortillas. Place tortillas on separate plates, add the beans over the top with the tomatoes and shredded cheese of your choice. Another way to prepare this meal is by turning the beans into a salad with your choice ingredients or even making it as a sandwich.

Another quick meal to make is to cook some noodles or spaghetti then drain it to place on a plate topped with cooked butter mushrooms or regular mushrooms. Add a few slices of tomato over the top then drizzle a little ranch dressing or your choice of dressing over the top. You could even place a favorite sauce to top. Your choice of garlic bread or regular bread to go with it. Avocado spread over bread with a little garlic is a very nice choice to add along with this meal.

Cooked noodles rolled into a slice of lettuce with avocado and tomato with some spices for flavor is another meal option. The choice is yours as to what kind of spices you would like added. If you like the thought you can even add some chopped up smoked sausage into the mix. Lettuce could also be replaced with cooked cabbage. The choices for the added ingredients for this meal is a very big list. The items could be changed every time the meal is made to make it different.

The thing to remember about this recipes is that salt or butter can be replaced with substitutes to make the meal or snack healthier. This goes the same with any recipe that is made because some people can not have any salt or not much salt. The ability to easily swap out ingredients is what makes the recipes so great. Sometimes doing this helps a person make a whole new and interesting recipe.

Some other great ideas to add to the snack category would be cereal and fruit. Special K cereal with added fruit or yogurt bites makes a great snack. The Special K cereal with the lemon and blueberry clusters is also a very good choice. Could even add in your own favorite fruits.

Next is more like a snack with avocado. Crackers or toast with avocado spread across and seasoning or dressing. A choice of veggies to go with or even cooked noodles with some chopped avocado and mixed veggies chopped in. These are just a few simple choices but if you are looking for more, just type snack or meal recipe on Google. There are a lot of great choices for meals or snacks listed or you can even make up your own.
