My Love for Baking

My love for baking started when I was a little girl. When I was growing up all my birthday cakes were homemade by my mom. As I got older I tried my luck at making my own birthday cakes for my birthday. Some cakes that I made I had help and some cakes that I made turned out good. During my last year of high school, I helped my mom bake a lot of delicious goodies for a school bake sale for project graduation at my school. I still love to bake cakes. cupcakes, cookies, and other sweet treats because it's fun and I need to practice my baking skills.

As time went by, I started watching Cake Wars, Cake Boos, and Cupcake Wars because of the amazing cake designs. One of these days I want to be in the kitchen with my boyfriend baking cakes and earning money making cakes. If I was to choose what style of cake to make it would be wedding cakes. Even though my boyfriend and I aren't getting married anytime soon I would still bake wedding cakes for other people. I have a lot of cake recipes and still finding more recipes to try out. I have been meaning to have a cake making business but I don't know what I would call it if I did a cake making business. Anyways I would love to make an anniversary cake for my boyfriend and I for our anniversary of us being together.

Baking to me is like my form of therapy and it's fun being in the kitchen making sweet treats. I really love the TV shows Cake Wars and Cake Boos because I love how the bakers go above and beyond to make these amazingly designed cakes. I want to be able to make an amazing cake with interesting flavors. Since I've been watching Cake Wars I have been wanting to see what interesting flavors I can make. As I try to see what cake recipes I can make with interesting flavors my cook book binder is starting to run out of space to put recipes in. I may have to get another binder for my cake recipes alone which will include cupcake and frosting recipes.

Out of all the recipes I have in my cook book binder, they are mostly cake, cupcake, and frosting recipes. So yeah I need a binder for my cake and frosting recipes. That right there should tell you that I love to bake. If I ever started a cake making business then I want to able to be at home with my family so I can use my own ingredients to make the cakes. The reason why I prefer to work from home is because I don't want to be away from my family.

Now baking at home will be hard when you have kids because they will be wanting to help you without making a mess. I have nothing against kids helping in the kitchen baking because it's fun to teach your kids how to bake. To be honest, baking is a fun family activity and it teaches kids how to measure out the ingredients for the recipes. I would love to teach my kids how to bake cakes so that they can make yummy cakes for their kids. Baking is an art that is part of many people's lives because it's been part of their parents' lives from they were teaching their kids how to bake.

Well now that I have time on my hands to write recipes for my cook book binder I may try out some of the recipes that I printed out or copied for my mom's recipes. I actually have family recipes that I need to get from my mom to put in my cook book binder that are for cakes and frostings. The best recipes you can have for baking are family recipes because you can pass those recipes down to each new generation. For all the bakers out there, remember that if you have family recipes in your recipes books or boxes to pass them down to your kids who also love to bake.
