Girl's Best Friend

Many people say that dog is man's best friend, which holds a certain truth to it. Others say diamonds are a girl's best friend. There is truth to that statement, but very little. Let's be honest, if we ladies had to make an honest decision between diamonds and food, food would definitely be the winner—hands down! Because who doesn't like food?!

Food is always there for a girl. It doesn't ask questions, it never cheats or lies to a girl, it doesn't judge—it's a true best friend. Food is there for a girl when mother-nature pays a visit (you know its crucial in those times) and after every break-up, bad day, good day, bad hair day, and anything in between. Food is always a good idea!

Although definitely in the food category, but with a category all to itself, coffee and chocolate are the cherry on the ice cream Sunday. If you want to brighten up a girl's day, coffee or chocolate is the way to go (be sure she's not allergic to nuts!). Although they say one of the best way to reach a man's heart is through his stomach, that very well may be truer for girls than it is for guys. Although we sometimes try to watch our weight and don't "like" eating carbs, our biggest wish in life is to eat whatever we want, whenever we want, and however much we want and not get fat!

While a shoulder to cry on, someone to vent/rant to about that annoying individual at work or about life in general and it may be nice to have someone to call sweetheart, food is definitely a girl's first true love. It was there from the beginning and it continues to be there for years to come. It's a huge comfort and blessing to have in life! Food is so special, many people pray that the good Lord will bless it and express gratitude for it before they eat it!

I mean why do you think there is food at most wedding receptions? It's to give comfort to all the single ladies who got invited, and to entertain the guests who were forced to attend. The bride and groom may also get a little hungry after so many months of planning the big occasion that food also sounds like a good idea! Food is beneficial to everyone and in the end, if there is food at event everyone turn out happy. It's like a win, win situation!

Food is also a great way to entertain social circles. I mean, let's be real... sometimes the only reason people go to social activities such as parties, wedding, and family reunions and such are just for the food. We've all heard the famous, "I'm just here for the food!" line before! Food is a common factor that everyone likes! Food is even in theaters and other places of entertainment. People even get disappointed when they find out there is no food at an event, and the portion size also makes a fleeting impression on guests.

Food is more than just a substance that brings satisfaction to a body part. Food brings people together, comforts others, brings joy and happiness. I mean, whoever said money can't buy happiness must not have known what the power of food can do! Sometimes, the cheesiest question people ask when they first meet or on a first date is: What's your favorite food? Food makes a Jonny Raincloud day become a Ray of Sunshine! Because food is simply amazing! So if you haven't already, go eat some food! But remember eat the good stuff because #yolo!
