The first thing I think most of us were taught as children was that vegetables and fruits are good for you. Even though that statement is true, that then leaves us wondering if all vegetables and fruits are good for your body, and which ones are the healthiest for us. Not all foods in these two categories are necessarily good for your body; and yes, some are more healthy than others, so let us dive into this vast area of knowledge and get into the real facts.

Fruits and Veggies

Let us start with fruits. Apples are very healthy for our bodies, they are not high in sugar and, a little known fact is that, the peeling is the healthiest part of the apple. I would guess that some of you did not know (and that includes myself) that avocados are considered a fruit. They are very healthy for our bodies, they help with the flowing of blood in our bodies, as well as keeping our brains healthy. They are low in calories so they help us to lose weight and are foods that burn belly fat. Blueberries are another great fruit we should be eating a lot of. Due to being able to flush all the toxins out of your body, they help us to lose weight and are great for your skin. They also work with your memory, which help with Dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and any other memory problems you might have now or in the future. Strawberries also have these same benefits and are also good for keeping your heart healthy. Broccoli is a great, healthy vegetable that can stop cancer tumors from growing bigger, they also lower your chances of getting cancer at all, and are loaded with vitamins and iron, which is great for your body overall. We all know that oranges are good for us because they are loaded with Vitamin C, but not everyone knows why. It has been proven that they are very important because they play a crucial part in the making of white blood cells and antibodies, which play a crucial role in fighting infection.

Grains

Oats are one of the best grains out there for lowering your cholesterol, as well as making your body feel full so that you eat less food. Oats are also very good at burning up belly fat and can also help you lose weight. It works wonders for your skin by either being eaten or by being applied to your skin. Walnuts are also very healthy; they are loaded with fiber and protein, and because of this, contribute to losing weight and are made of certain antioxidants that will slow aging within your body and skin. Any type of nuts when eaten in small quantities daily are good for keeping your heart healthy, and getting rid of bad cholesterol. Increasing the good type of cholesterol, nut-flax seed is one of the healthiest nuts in the world. It helps with diseases of the heart, helps prevents strokes, lowers your chances of cancer, and helps control diabetes.

Fish

Salmon, especially fresh salmon, that is caught and then eaten fresh after being caught, can lower your cholesterol levels and is a natural antioxidant, which flushes out the bad toxins within your body. It is one of the healthiest proteins for your body; it helps protect your skin and can even prevent cancer cells from developing in your body. Salmon and any type of fish that has an oily consistency, such as tuna, can help with brain problems and inflammation.

There are so many foods available that are good for our bodies that most people are not even aware of. Just a little information can change the quality of your life, keep you healthier, and even extend your life. Everyone needs to do a little reading to improve their knowledge and really be healthier. Changing your diet can be a real game changer in your life. It can also help you to not have to work so hard in the gym. It really comes down to a combination of eating healthy and a little bit of activity every day that can change your life forever.
