Mystifying Things Happen in South Dakota
The Hotel Alex Johnson is located in Rapid City, South Dakota. Here you can see the artistic design and décor of the Sioux Indian Nation. There are floor tiles that bear the signs of the “Sacred Four Directions” in a hand-painted motif. The hotel has 143 guest rooms and suites. Six US presidents have stayed here: Calvin Coolidge, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, and Ronald Reagan.

The Glowing Skull
In the early 19th century legend had it that there was once a baron called Baron Lutz. Baron Lutz had a reputation for being an arrogant and evil man with no feelings for others whatsoever. In the Midwest just outside of a little town by Silver Lake, this Baron built a large estate. He bought up most of the town’s businesses and became known as a tyrant. Once while traveling around other nearby towns looking for more businesses to purchase he came upon a gypsy caravan. The gypsies held a huge festival that night.

Ipoh by the Kinta River
Ipoh is the capital of the state of Perak in Malaysia as well as one of the largest cities in the country. At one time this city was one of the most important cities in the world since it was the center of the world’s tin industry. Today it has become an important tourism destination. There are many lovely and wonderful sights in and around Ipoh. 70% of the city’s population is of Chinese origin.

Lafayette Along the Vermillion River
Lafayette stretches along the Vermillion River in southwestern Louisiana. Acadian Village is a privately owned park spanning 32 acres. It was founded in the 1970s to safeguard Acadian heritage. Within its premises, visitors can explore a Cajun village from the 1800s. The village is comprised of eleven structures, out of which seven are genuine 19th-century residences. Guided tours are offered, and the grounds can also be leased for various occasions.

Europe Hungary Hortobagyi palacsinta is a dish prepared with savory pancakes filled with meat like veal and prepared like a stew with tomatoes, onions, spices, and mushrooms. After the pancakes are filled the ends are tucked in and baked in an oven with sour cream and paprika.

Potsdam on the River Havel
The interesting city of Potsdam, Germany borders the German capital Berlin, and is part of the Berlin/Brandenburg Metropolitan Region. It is the capital of the federal state of Brandenburg. The city is located in a lovely area of lakes and woodlands. The Prussian rulers built many palaces and gardens and created the architectural style of Potsdam Rococo. Today a great deal of Potsdam is protected under UNESCO Palaces and Parks of Berlin and Potsdam World Heritage Site status.

Taiping by the Bintang Mountains
Taiping is an interesting town located in the northern Perak district. It sits on a plain to the west of the Bintang Mountains. The town has historical landmarks and natural resources. It is also known as one of the “wettest towns” in Peninsular Malaysia.
