You are supposed to drastically reduce your carb intake, and replace it with fats. This will put your body into a metabolic state that is called “ketosis” where your body becomes extremely efficient at burning fats for energy. There are plenty of different recipes on the internet that are keto friendly, but here are a few of the most popular.

Cream Cheese Keto Pancakes

This tasty cream cheese keto pancakes breakfast treat will make you forget that you are even dieting to lose weight.

Recipe:

1 ½ cup + 1 tablespoon almond flour

½ cup of full-fat cream cheese

4 eggs

½ teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon sugar, optional

Butter for frying

Mix all of your ingredients together in a blender. Heat the butter up on medium heat, then spoon the mixture onto the griddle. Flip them over whenever the middle of them begins to bubble.

Instant Pot Crack Chicken

If you are looking for something yummy to whip up for dinner, this is the perfect recipe.

Recipe:

2 slices chopped bacon

2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breast

2 blocks cream cheese

½ cup of water

2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon dried chives

1 ½ teaspoon garlic powder

1 ½ onion powder

1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

1 teaspoon dried dill

¼ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

½ shredded cheese

Scallions for garnish

Sauté bacon, then put everything but the cheese and bacon into the pressure cooker for 15 minutes on high. Shred the chicken, stir in the cheese, then top it with the bacon and scallions.

Recipe:

Crust:

1 ½ cups almond flour

3 tablespoon coconut oil, melted

2 ½ tablespoon water

1 tablespoon ground flaxseed

Dash of pure stevia

Pinch of pink salt

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line 7” springform pan with parchment paper

Whisk together dry ingredients in a mixing bowl—flour, salt, and stevia.

In a small bowl, stir flaxseed and water, set aside to thicken. Pour the flax mixture and coconut oil over the dry ingredients and mix well.

Press into the pan, and bake for 15 minutes until firm and lightly golden, set aside to cool.

Filling:

1 ½ cups roasted hazelnuts

1 13.6 oz can coconut milk solid cream only

1 3 oz bar of sugar-free dark chocolate

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Pinch of pure stevia powder + 1 tablespoon coconut water

Pinch of pink salt

Place hazelnuts in the food processor, blend until liquefied.

Scrape sides down, add melted chocolate and salt, blend until smooth.

Scoop the solid coconut cream into mixing bowl, add vanilla, 1 tablespoon coconut water leftover from the can, plus a pinch of stevia. Whip with a hand mixer until light and fluffy, 30 to 60 seconds.

Fold chocolate hazelnut mixture in.

Pour filling over crust, freeze for 1 to 2 hours until set.

Keto Breakfast Burrito

This is a great meal for the busy mornings before school or work. All you really need is the base of the burrito and then you can fill it with whatever your heart desires.

Recipe:

1 tablespoon butter

2 medium eggs

2 tablespoons full fat cream

¼ cup shredded cheese

Salt & pepper

Spices of your choice

Whisk together eggs, cream, cheese, and spices in a small bowl.

Melt butter in the frying pan, then pour in burrito mixture.

Place lid over the burrito and let it cook for 2 minutes.

Lift burrito out with a clean spatula and put it on your plate.

Add your fillings, roll it up and enjoy.
